The Real Way to Dakar is coming back!

A new chapter begins

It is with both pride and deep gratitude that we can now share some exciting news with all of you.

Over the past months, we have been working quietly behind the scenes on a planned handover of the rally to two new owners — Thomas and Petur — who will carry the spirit and legacy of The Real Way to Dakar forward.
Our original plan was to make this announcement in early 2026, with the intention of relaunching the rally in 2027.

However, following the recent cancellation of another rally, and the great uncertainty this has created for many teams and participants, the new owners have decided to open the doors earlier and welcome those who had already set their sights on Dakar 2026.

This means that The Real Way to Dakar will live on, under new ownership, but with the same DNA, vision, and values that have defined it from the very beginning:
Adventure, camaraderie, and the true spirit of rallying.

For us, this transition is both emotional and meaningful. Seeing The Real Way to Dakar continue in capable hands is the best possible outcome — and we are deeply thankful to Thomas and Petur for taking on this journey with the same passion and respect for what this rally stands for.

THE 2026 EDITION

The Real Way to Dakar will once again return to the legendary routes through Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal in 2026. The rally will start in Northern Morocco and make its way through more than 5.000 km of varied terrain challenging every part of our participant’s driving skills, before ending on the shores of Lac Rose in Dakar.

The 2026 edition will focus fully on the Adventure experience — a pure, non-timed journey from Northern Morocco to Dakar.
And with our short preparation window this year, we are starting directly in Morocco to give everyone the best possible rally setup for 2026.

The Real Way to Dakar is a demanding competition that challenges you to go beyond limits, whether you are an experienced rally driver with passion to do original rally routes, or more inexperienced motor enthusiast with desire to explore.

We are a strong, well organised and helpful community that supports you on this journey. With us, you will pass through some of the most spectacular landscapes in Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal evoking a timeless sense of adventure and exploration. From the endless dunes of the Sahara to the desolate expanses of coastal deserts, the rocky trails of the High Atlas, and the low lying Savannah.

Above all, each day brings new surprises and unexpected challenges.
